My partner and I often go to Brighton looking for lunch and find ourselves agreeing to go to the NL Cafe as it’s such a reliable bet. We must have been over twenty times or so now. We have our favourite mains but often try new things and we’re never disappointed. Staff are attentive and kind too. Strongly recommend!

A lovely little restaurant/coffee shop with a delightful covered outdoor area. Amazing food, delicious and fresh. Extensive menu with lots of options. I went for brunch and had the avocado, eggs and salmon, with the hash browns. Excellent service - friendly, warm and welcoming. The food came out fast too. Overall, excellent. 5 stars and highly recommended.

Good spot for brunch or a light lunch in Brighton. Located perfectly for wandering in the North Laines afterwards. Really like their homemade green smoothie but unfortunately they’ve run out the last two times I’ve been there. Get there earlier if you want to try it. We tried the Brighton Stack which was okay. I think the full English looks more appetising. Their other dishes also look great. The potato rostis are very yummy. Service was good. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

I'm a planner. Wherever I go, I usually have a spreadsheet of carefully researched places to eat and drink on trips, so we're not left disappointed. So it was an unexpected delight to stumble upon this cafe, entirely by chance. We were so impressed with our first visit, we visited again, the next day on our short two day trip. Firstly, the menu is huge. We literally wanted to try everything. Every dish has something unique about it that has clearly been thought through. The food was stunning. Perfect. We had lunch one day (mushrooms on toast), and breakfast the next (pancakes and full English) and both were as good as each other. I don't say this lightly, when I say, they make the best hash browns I've ever had. I've tried making hash browns through my love for them and I've left feeling jealous at how they got these so perfect. Delicious drinks - coffees, juices and smoothies all made fresh. Unlike most cafes - they didn't do my pet hate and fill the glass with ice, which waters down the juice - winner! The service was attentive, friendly and speedy (on both visits). We are going to be telling everyone about this absolute gem and will visit as soon as we're back in Brighton.

Great food, great coffee and amazing service. Only downside was the sausage and bacon could of been warmer.

Found this lovely place in Brighton during my stay, called North Laine Cafe. Instantly became my fave! It's a cozy place close to the train station. Loved the colours, warm beige, black and yellows everywhere. The atmosphere and the staff made me go there several times! Speaking of staff, Alice and Freya kindly served me, and honestly they are the loveliest people ever! Helpful, friendly, amazing both of them! I can wholeheartedly vouch for them. Can't wait to go back there next year. Thanks a lot for the experience.
